Vocation of Care

As I prepare for life beyond high school, I’m excited about the unfamiliar experiences, new environments, and relationships that await me. I hope to pursue a career as an anesthesiologist, but more importantly, I want to become someone who leaves the world better than I found it. Everything I’ve accomplished has been made possible by both my own determination and the people who have invested in me. I hope to carry that same support forward and become a positive influence in the lives of others.

SHHS Medical Club

Treasurer & Scholar

Nov. 2025 – Present

Medical Club has allowed me to explore my interest in healthcare outside of the classroom. Through the club, I have been able to learn more about medical careers, healthcare topics, and the responsibilities that come with working in the medical field.

My interest in medicine has continued to grow throughout high school, so participating in an organization surrounded by students with similar interests has been especially valuable to me.

Medical Club has helped me become more curious about the sciences and has encouraged me to continue pursuing opportunities that will prepare me for a future career in healthcare.

Health Sci Intern

Medical Intern

Aug.2026 - Present

Through my Health Science Internship at the Warren Consolidated Career Preparation Center, under the guidance of my instructor, Mrs. Schapman, I’ve gained hands-on hospital experience by shadowing medical professionals for two hours a day, three days a week.

I’ve earned in Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR, and Bloodborne Pathogens while developing practical clinical skills in phlebotomy, patient care, bedmaking, and measuring vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse.

My health science internship group suited up in PPE for clinical training

Practicing blood pressure measurement

Hands-on CPR training on a mannequin

Simulated patient care practice

These experiences have strengthened my understanding of healthcare, deepened my appreciation for compassionate and collaborative patient care, and further motivated me to pursue a career in medicine.
